To make the tiny desk ai video, upload one clear photo to Tiny Desk AI Trend, pick a set and a format, and generate. There is no prompt to write and nothing to edit, and the finished 15-second MP4 comes with the trend's original sound and no watermark. Open the generator.
Four steps from one photo
1. Pick a clear photo
Front-facing, good light, one person, shoulders up. Whatever you are wearing in the photo is what you wear at the desk, so choose the outfit on purpose.
2. Choose the set and the format
Pick one of 6 sets: Lead Singer for the plain meme, Losing Coach for the version that started it, or Duo, Office Band, Birthday and Pet Lead. Choose 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, 1:1 for a feed post, or 16:9 for YouTube.
3. Generate and download
Press Create. The Standard render takes about four minutes and costs 10 credits. Download the MP4 when it finishes, and keep in mind that files are only kept for a day.
4. Post it
Upload the file to the app you post to. The sound is already mixed in, so you do not need to add anything. If you want a caption about the week or the team, add it in the app.
Why not do it by hand?
Because the meme is four shots that have to line up with a song, and hand-made versions need retries; the tutorial page explains why the TikTok routes break, and the prompt page covers what is built in here.
| Tiny Desk AI Trend | By hand | |
|---|---|---|
| What you supply | One photo | Photo, reference clip, prompt, settings |
| Prompt writing | None | Long, tuned by trial |
| Original sound | Mixed in | Added and lined up yourself |
| Watermark | None | Depends on the tool or template |
| Same face in all four shots | Handled in the set | Often drifts between shots |
| Typical failures | A failed render returns its credits | Paid retries, expired template links |
Photo tips that change the result
- Show your face large. The close-up from 3 to 9 seconds fills the frame, so a sharp shoulders-up photo beats a full-body shot.
- Take sunglasses off. The laugh and the look up at the ceiling depend on visible eyes. Hats and glasses are fine.
- Smile a little. The model has then seen the teeth it has to animate in the laugh.
- One person per photo. For two people use the Duo set with two solo photos.
- Only you or a person who agreed, 18 or older. Celebrity, coach and athlete photos are blocked.
Posting it
Post the 9:16 file to TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts, the 1:1 file to an Instagram feed, and the 16:9 file to YouTube. The trend's sound is already on the video, and each app lets you swap the audio if you prefer. Label it as AI-generated where the app has that switch. The clip is 15 seconds, close to the length of the original TikToks.
